College dreams and frequent reminders.........

So as I work in between a balance of work/ life, I’m reminded to slow down every once and awhile. My job has caused muscle strain and my mind to ponder about the next creative goal. As I’ve been recovering at home I’m always working on another feature as the mind goes rampant but the body stays still. Let’s talk about a bit of the past today as each year even I can’t recall most since new achievements stick closer to memory now and days.

Robot in box (draft 1)- work in progress

I’ve always maintained a work life cycle that keeps my hours long but often filled with activity. Around 2014 I went back to college in pursuit of my B.A. in graphic design. I ended up having to drop out due to many life events after a few years in. Around that time that I was less focused on college I turned my attention to just making art. I bought a new tablet with a screen and focused on making everything that I could possibly conceptualize around that time. Those years in college had encouraged trying new ways to create but often during class I would crave the free time to paint. So I believe school life for those few years had awakened many dormant ideas and reignited my passion for the arts. I focused on “The Frequent Artist” as more of a way to express online but also reclusively as a hobbyist for many years. The name itself comes from challenging myself to better my craft but to always allow creative freedom since everyday life was quite simple at points and never had anything artistic happening ever. The real work as an artist started when I finally had opportunities to show my work publicly but I’ll talk more about those times next time.

To be continued……..
